Sheikh Khaled Nabhan, 'Soul of the Soul' Grandfather, Killed in Israeli Strike in Gaza
Dec 16, 2024, 09:29 AM
Sheikh Khaled Nabhan, also known as Abu Diaa, a Palestinian grandfather from the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, was killed on December 16, 2024, in an Israeli artillery strike, according to local sources. Nabhan gained international attention last year when his three-year-old granddaughter Reem and five-year-old grandson Tariq were killed during the first month of the Israeli aggression on Gaza. In a widely shared video, he bid farewell to Reem, referring to her as the 'soul of the soul.' The artillery shelling that killed Nabhan also resulted in the death of at least one other Palestinian and caused damage in the Nuseirat refugee camp.
