Pavel Durov, the Russian-born founder and CEO of the messaging app Telegram, was arrested in France over the weekend. French prosecutors have charged Durov with 12 offenses, including complicity in the spread of child sexual abuse images, drug trafficking, and other criminal activities on the platform. Following his arrest at Paris's Le Bourget Airport, Durov was held in custody for several days before being released under judicial supervision.
