Telegram CEO Pavel Durov Arrested in France, Faces 12 Charges and €5 Million Bail

Pavel Durov, the Russian-born founder and CEO of the messaging app Telegram, was arrested in France over the weekend. French prosecutors have charged Durov with 12 offenses, including complicity in the spread of child sexual abuse images, drug trafficking, and other criminal activities on the platform. Following his arrest at Paris's Le Bourget Airport, Durov was held in custody for several days before being released under judicial supervision. He is now prohibited from leaving France and must pay a bail of 5 million euros. Durov faces six charges and is required to report to the police twice a week. The investigation continues as Durov awaits further legal proceedings.
