Israeli Military Launches Invasion of Khirbet Khizaa, Initiates Giora Island Plan in Northern Gaza

On December 28, the Israeli military launched a large-scale invasion of Khirbet Khizaa, a Palestinian town with 13,000 residents. The 8219th Combat Engineering Battalion led the invasion with the objective of wiping the town off the map. Concurrently, an Israeli MK from Netanyahu’s party announced the initiation of the Giora Island Plan, which involves an IDF military operation in northern Gaza aimed at eliminating all Palestinians from the area. The plan, created by Maj. Gen. (Res.) Giora Eiland, aims to evacuate over 200,000 residents and turn northern Gaza into a military zone. A Kan 11 reporter confirmed the operation.
