Israeli Commandos Capture Ali Soleiman al-Assi, Syrian Operative Working for Iran in Southern Syria
Nov 3, 2024, 04:47 PM
Israeli commando forces have entered Syria and arrested a Syrian individual, Ali Soleiman al-Assi, who was working for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The operation took place in the southern Syrian town of Saida, in the Daraa governorate. According to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), al-Assi was involved in an Iranian terror network and was responsible for gathering intelligence on IDF troops. The raid, conducted by the Egoz Unit and Intelligence Directorate’s Unit 504, disrupted potential attacks on Israel and provided insights into Iran’s strategies along the Golan front.
