A food poisoning incident in Yokohama, Japan, has resulted in one death and over 140 people falling ill after consuming grilled eel lunch boxes sold last week. The affected meals, sold at a department store, were found to contain staphylococcus bacteria. The Yokohama health department has ordered the closure of the Tokyu mall store operated by the eel restaurant chain Isesada. Isesada officials have publicly apologized for the incident, acknowledging one suspected death.
