Delhi High Court Transfers Old Rajinder Nagar Coaching Centre Deaths Case to CBI
Aug 2, 2024, 11:03 AM
The Delhi High Court has transferred the investigation into the deaths of three UPSC aspirants at a coaching centre in Old Rajinder Nagar to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The court cited the seriousness of the incidents and the potential involvement of corruption by public servants and top civic officials as reasons for this decision. The aspirants, who were preparing for the civil services examination, drowned in the basement of the coaching centre last week. The High Court has directed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to cooperate with the CBI in the investigation.
