Iran's Crown Prince Urges Trump to Use Maximum Pressure Policy and Support Cyrus Accords
Jan 20, 2025, 06:24 PM
Reza Pahlavi, the exiled Crown Prince of Iran, has written a letter to President Donald Trump on the occasion of his second-term inauguration. In the letter, Pahlavi congratulated Trump and praised his first-term stance against the Iranian regime, which he described as illegitimate and criminal. Pahlavi urged Trump to continue his maximum pressure policy to end the oppression by the Islamic Republic, warning against trusting the ruling clerics in Tehran. He suggested that the regime, now weaker than ever, might attempt to deceive with hollow promises and pursue a new deal. Additionally, Pahlavi proposed the idea of the Cyrus Accords, aiming to unite Israel, Arab nations, and a 'free Iran' to transform the Middle East, indicating his readiness to partner with Trump to facilitate this. He suggested adding the Cyrus Accords to the existing Abraham Accords to promote peace in the region.
