Richards, who led Planned Parenthood for 12 years from 2006 to 2018, was a lifelong advocate for women's rights and healthcare equity. She also served on the board of the National Women's Law Center. The daughter of former Texas Governor Ann Richards, she dedicated her life to fighting for civil rights and reproductive justice. Richards passed away at home, surrounded by her family and her dog, Ollie.
