Brown's legal team asserts that the allegations were proven false and that Jane Doe's lawsuit was dismissed. They further claim that Jane Doe had a history of violence and erratic behavior, which should have raised concerns for the documentary's producers. The lawsuit states that despite being provided with evidence disproving the claims, Warner Bros. proceeded with the documentary's release, prioritizing profits over journalistic integrity. Brown's lawyers are seeking damages, a portion of which would be donated to survivors of sexual abuse.
