Titans Restructure Front Office; Won't Pass on 'Generational Talent' with No.1 Draft Pick, Says Brinker

The Tennessee Titans have restructured their football operations, appointing Chad Brinker as President of Football Operations and Mike Borgonzi as General Manager. Brinker stated that he holds complete authority over all football matters, including final say on the roster, as delegated by owner Amy Adams Strunk, who was notably absent from the press conference. Despite his authority, Brinker emphasized that Borgonzi will be primarily responsible for making draft picks and handling free agency, with Brinker involved and holding tie-breaker authority if necessary. The Titans, holding the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, are open to all options and are conducting thorough evaluations of all prospects, including quarterbacks. Brinker asserted, "We won't pass on a generational talent with the first pick in the NFL Draft," adding that the team aims to acquire "30 picks over the next three years," including "12 in the top 100." The team's leadership acknowledged past shortcomings, with Brinker noting, "We weren't as disciplined as we could have been in roster building last offseason." Both Brinker and Borgonzi expressed a commitment to acquiring playmakers at premium positions and being more selective in free agency. Borgonzi highlighted the value of draft picks, stating, "Draft picks are a great form of currency. When there's opportunities to trade back and collect more picks, we're going to do that."
