The AnimeCoin Foundation, in collaboration with Azuki, is set to launch the ANIME token on January 23, 2025, on both Ethereum and Arbitrum networks. This token, described as a 'culture coin,' aims to transform the anime industry into a community-driven creative network. A total of 10 billion ANIME tokens will be issued, with over 50% allocated to the Web3 community, including 37.5% for Azuki NFT holders. The token distribution also includes 24.44% for domain expansion, 15.62% for the team and advisors, 13% for community cultivation, 7.44% for the Azuki company, and 2% for partner communities. Notably, 76.94% of the tokens will be unlocked at launch. ANIME will be available for trading on major exchanges such as OKX, Bybit, Binance, and Upbit upon launch, marking a significant step in connecting anime fans with ownership in the industry they love. The launch is also tied to the development of AnimeChain, a Layer 3 blockchain within the Arbitrum ecosystem.
