Jan 23, 2025, 09:42 AM
Animecoin ($ANIME), a new cryptocurrency linked to the Azuki NFT project, has launched on multiple exchanges including Binance, Upbit, Bybit, OKX, KuCoin, LBank, and BitMart. The token opened at a fully diluted valuation (FDV) of $1.2 billion, with an initial price of $0.12 per token on Ethereum and Arbitrum. It has since risen to $0.18, marking a 22.6% increase since its launch. The launch was supported by a significant airdrop to the Azuki community and other partner communities, with 37.5% of the total supply allocated to Azuki holders, amounting to 3.75 billion tokens. Additionally, 13% of the supply has been set aside for a community fund to be managed by ANIME token holders and the future AnimeDAO. The Animecoin Foundation aims to foster a collaborative anime ecosystem, with plans to integrate blockchain technology through Animechain and the upcoming Anime.com platform. The foundation's vision includes the concept of 'Anime 2.0,' where fans can actively contribute to the creation and growth of anime, exemplified by Azuki's IP 'Enter The Garden,' featuring characters Shao and Raizan. The production team includes anime industry veterans such as Goro Taniguchi and Kazuto Nakazawa, known for his work on 'Samurai Champloo.'
