ADL Global 100 Survey Finds 2.2 Billion Adults Worldwide Hold Antisemitic Beliefs, Amid Rising Holocaust Denial
Jan 14, 2025, 02:17 PM
A new survey by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) titled the ADL Global 100 has revealed that nearly half of the world's adult population, approximately 46%, holds antisemitic beliefs, marking the highest level of antisemitism recorded by the ADL in the past decade. The survey, conducted across over 103 countries and territories, found that around 2.2 billion individuals worldwide exhibit elevated levels of antisemitic attitudes. The survey also highlighted a concerning trend among younger generations, with 50% of respondents under 35 years old holding antisemitic views. Additionally, the survey noted a significant increase in Holocaust denial and distortion, with only 48% of global respondents recognizing the historical accuracy of the Holocaust, dropping to 39% among those under 35. The ADL's findings underscore a global emergency in antisemitism, particularly intensified since October 7, 2023.
