Trump Urges Immediate Ukraine Ceasefire After Paris Talks with Zelensky and Macron

US President-elect Donald Trump has called for an immediate ceasefire and negotiations to end the conflict in Ukraine, following a meeting in Paris with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and French President Emmanuel Macron on December 7. Posting on his social network Truth Social, Trump emphasized that too many lives have been lost and that it is time to stop the "madness." He asserted that "Zelensky and Ukraine would like to make a deal and stop the madness." Zelensky responded that there could be no peace without guarantees. The war in Ukraine has resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths.
