Erdoğan Urges Foreign Powers to Withdraw from Syria, Vows to Eliminate YPG, ISIS, and PKK
Jan 15, 2025, 10:04 AM
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has called for all foreign powers to withdraw from Syria, asserting that Turkey, in collaboration with its Syrian allies, is capable of eliminating terrorist organizations such as ISIS (Daesh) and the YPG. Speaking to lawmakers from his ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) in Ankara, Erdoğan warned that the YPG, which he accused of plundering Syria's natural resources, would face an inevitable end if it does not disband and lay down its arms. He emphasized Turkey's resolve to achieve a terror-free nation, stating that if the PKK and its affiliates do not heed calls to disarm, Turkey would employ other means to reach its goal.
