Dec 10, 2024, 07:04 PM
Israel's Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who is also a member of the country's domestic security cabinet, has stated that the upcoming inauguration of Donald Trump next month as President of the United States presents an opportunity for Israel to pursue several strategic objectives. These include the overthrow of the Iranian government, preventing the establishment of a Palestinian state, and banning the reconstruction of houses and villages destroyed by Israel in Lebanon along the border. Smotrich highlighted these goals in comments to Bloomberg.
