Dec 11, 2024, 03:40 PM
Ukraine launched an attack on a Russian military airfield in Taganrog using six US-made MGM-140 ATACMS ballistic missiles, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The ministry reported that two missiles were intercepted by the Pantsir air defense system, while the remaining four were diverted by electronic warfare systems. Debris from the missiles caused casualties among personnel at the airfield. Russia vowed to respond to the attack, stating, "This attack with Western long-range weapons will not go unanswered; appropriate measures will be taken." The attack occurred on the morning of December 11 and marks the fourth reported use of ATACMS missiles by Ukraine against Russian targets.
