Nick Candy, a billionaire UK property developer and former Conservative Party donor, has defected from the Tories to join Nigel Farage's Reform UK as its new treasurer, effective in the new year. Candy, who is married to actress Holly Valance, has pledged a significant financial contribution to the party, including a seven-figure sum from his own wealth. He stated his intention to raise more than £40 million to support Reform UK's efforts to challenge the established political parties and help Farage become the next Prime Minister, declaring, "Nigel is going to be PM."
