I think they're happy with us." Republican Congressman Andy Ogles introduced a bill to give Trump the authority to acquire Greenland, stating, "We are, quite frankly, the dominant predator." In response, Greenland's Prime Minister Múte B. Egede asserted Greenland's desire for autonomy, declaring, "We don't want to be Americans. We don't want to be Danish either. Greenland's future will be decided by Greenland." Denmark's foreign minister also emphasized that no country should be able to simply "help themselves" to another country.
