IDF Investigation Reveals Six Hostages Executed by Hamas During February Airstrike in Khan Yunis
Dec 4, 2024, 03:24 PM
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have concluded an investigation into the deaths of six hostages whose bodies were recovered from Khan Yunis in Gaza in August 2023. The investigation revealed that the hostages were executed by Hamas militants who were holding them captive. The victims, identified as Alex Dancyg (75), Yagev Buchshtav (35), Chaim Peri (79), Yoram Metzger (80), Nadav Popplewell (51), and Avraham Munder (78), were killed in February 2023 during an Israeli airstrike targeting a Hamas underground tunnel in the Khan Yunis area. The IDF stated that it was unaware of the hostages' presence in the area at the time of the strike. Autopsies showed that the hostages' bodies were riddled with bullets, confirming their execution by Hamas operatives.
