Home Ministry Hands Over June 9 Reasi Bus Terror Attack Probe to NIA
Jun 17, 2024, 04:12 AM
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has handed over the investigation of the June 9 evening terror attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The decision follows a crucial meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The case has been filed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Explosives Act. The bus, which was carrying pilgrims, fell into a gorge after the terrorist attack. The NIA will investigate who provided logistical support for the attack. The Centre confirmed the handover of the probe.
