10th Circuit in Denver to Hear University of Wyoming Sorority's Challenge on Transgender Admission
May 14, 2024, 03:00 PM
A U.S. appeals court in Denver is set to hear arguments in a lawsuit brought by six members of a University of Wyoming sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, who are challenging the admission of a transgender woman into their local chapter. The 10th Circuit will hear the case following a lower court's decision that ordered the sorority to admit the transgender woman, who has been accused of inappropriate behavior. The sorority members argue that their organization is exclusively for women and are appealing the ruling. Oral arguments are scheduled for today.
