Jan 12, 2025, 08:50 AM
Six people were killed and eight others injured when a propane-butane cylinder exploded in a restaurant in the northwestern Czech city of Most on Saturday evening. The explosion set the building ablaze, with flames spreading unusually quickly according to firefighters, forcing the evacuation of 30 people from the restaurant and nearby buildings. Interior Minister Vit Rakusan told Czech Radio that the cause was likely an overturned propane-butane heater in the restaurant's front garden. Of the injured, two are reported to be in serious condition. Emergency services are investigating the incident.
