Russian KAB Guided Bomb Hits Kharkiv Apartment, Injuring 13 Including Child
Oct 2, 2024, 08:58 PM
On the night of October 2, 2024, Russian forces launched a major attack on Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, striking a residential apartment building with a KAB guided bomb. The five-story building in the Saltivka neighborhood was hit between the third and fourth floors, resulting in significant damage and fires. At least 13 people were injured, including a three-year-old child, and ten cars were also set ablaze. Rescue operations are ongoing as authorities search for any remaining victims under the rubble. The attack led to power outages in the city. Local officials reported that the assault was carried out by two Su-34 aircraft, which launched five KAB guided bombs. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack, emphasizing that ordinary residential areas were targeted.
