Delhi LG Approves Probe Against AAP Leader Satyendar Jain in Rs 7 Crore CCTV Bribery Case
Jul 6, 2024, 01:35 PM
Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has approved an investigation under the Prevention of Corruption (PoC) Act against jailed former Delhi Minister and AAP leader Satyendar Jain. Jain is accused of receiving a bribe of Rs 7 crore in connection with a Rs 571 crore project. The case involves allegations of corruption related to the installation of CCTV cameras in Delhi. BJP leader R. P. Singh commented that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had promised the installation of 15 lakh CCTV cameras, but corruption occurred as the cameras were not installed. The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) will conduct the probe. This development adds more trouble for Jain.
