VisitBoeing Offers 35% Wage Increase; Workers Vote Wednesday on Tentative Deal to End Strike
Oct 19, 2024, 03:22 PM
Boeing Co. and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), representing 33,000 striking workers, have reached a tentative agreement to end the five-week-long strike that has halted most of the company's production since September 13. The proposed deal includes a 35% wage increase over four years, up from the 25% raise offered in September, as well as a $7,000 ratification bonus. Union members will vote on the proposal on Wednesday, October 23. The IAM is presenting the proposal to its members, stating that it includes several key improvements over Boeing's previous offers.
