FTC Accuses Asbury Automotive of Discrimination Against Black and Latino Consumers

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has accused Asbury Automotive of discriminatory practices against Black and Latino consumers. The allegations include payment packing, finance and insurance (F&I) product deception, and discriminatory pricing. In response, Asbury Automotive has denied the allegations, with CEO David Hult stating that the company will not allow the FTC to impose fines or requirements that could negatively impact the car-buying experience for their customers.
