The Election Commission of India has officially registered Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) as a political party, granting it permission to participate in electoral politics. The announcement was made by Tamil cinema's leading actor and TVK chief Vijay. TVK had applied for recognition on February 2nd, and the party has now been legally scrutinized and approved.
