Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Majed al-Ansari, announced that a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip will commence on Sunday, January 19, at 8:30 a.m. local time (06:30 GMT). The agreement, brokered by Qatar, follows approval from Israel's cabinet and consensus among the involved parties and mediators.
