First-Ever 'Bluey' Animated Film Coming from BBC Studios and Disney in 2027

BBC Studios and The Walt Disney Company have announced that 'Bluey,' the popular Australian animated children's series, will be adapted into a feature film set for a theatrical release in 2027. The film, which will continue the adventures of Bluey, her sister Bingo, and their parents, marks the first-ever animated 'Bluey' movie. Series creator Joe Brumm expressed his enthusiasm, stating, 'I’ve always thought ‘Bluey’ deserved a theatrical movie. I want this to be an experiential event for the whole family to enjoy together.' The movie will be released in cinemas worldwide, followed by streaming on Disney+. The announcement comes as 'Bluey' continues to be a global sensation, becoming the most-watched series worldwide on Disney+ in 2024.
