'Bluey' Feature Film Set for 2027 Release by BBC Studios and Disney, Directed by Joe Brumm

The popular Australian animated series 'Bluey,' which debuted in 2018 and has become a global sensation, is set to expand to the big screen with a feature film scheduled for release in 2027. The movie, produced by Ludo Studio in collaboration with BBC Studios and The Walt Disney Company, will follow the adventures of Bluey, the blue heeler pup, along with her younger sister Bingo and their parents, Bandit and Chilli. Joe Brumm, the creator of the series, will write and direct the film, aiming to deliver an 'experiential event for the whole family to enjoy together.' The voice cast from the series, including Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack, will reprise their roles. 'Bluey' has won multiple awards, including an Emmy, a Peabody, and a BAFTA, and is the most-watched series on Disney+ in 2024. Following its theatrical run, the movie will be available on Disney+.
