NCAA Hits Michigan, Harbaugh with 3-Year Probation, Recruiting Penalties
Apr 16, 2024, 04:25 PM
The NCAA has finalized penalties for the University of Michigan's football program following violations during the COVID-19 dead period. Five current or former staff members, including Jim Harbaugh, were implicated in these violations. The agreed-upon sanctions include three years of probation, a monetary fine, and recruiting restrictions. Additionally, a one-year show-cause order has been issued for the five individuals involved. Jim Harbaugh was noted to have demonstrated a responsibility violation. One former coach, who did not participate in the agreement, will have their case handled separately.
