NCAA Imposes 3-Year Probation on Michigan Football, Includes Fine, Recruiting Limits
Apr 16, 2024, 09:40 PM
The NCAA has imposed sanctions on the University of Michigan's football program, including three years of probation for UM, a fine, and recruiting restrictions, due to violations during the COVID-19 dead period. Five current or former Michigan football staff members, including Jim Harbaugh, have agreed to these penalties, which also include a one-year show-cause order for each individual involved. The case against one former coach, who did not participate in the agreement, will be handled separately by the NCAA's Committee on Infractions.
