The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has opened two investigations into Ford Motor Company vehicles, affecting over 500,000 trucks and SUVs. The probes come just days after Ford was fined up to $165 million for delays in addressing a previous recall. One investigation involves approximately 112,567 Ford SUVs with seat belt issues, where the seat belts reportedly tightened and remained locked. The NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation announced both probes on Nov. 15. These investigations are part of a broader effort by U.S. regulators to address potential defects and ensure vehicle safety.
