FBI Confirms Shamsud-Din Jabbar Acted Alone in New Orleans Terror Attack Killing 15
Jan 2, 2025, 05:19 PM
The FBI announced that the suspect in the New Orleans truck attack, identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, acted alone in what they are calling an act of terrorism. On New Year's Day, Jabbar drove a pickup truck into a crowd of revelers on Bourbon Street, resulting in 15 fatalities. Initially, authorities believed he may have had accomplices, but the FBI has since confirmed that Jabbar acted alone and was "100%" inspired by the Islamic State group. The suspect, a U.S. Army veteran, targeted the New Year's celebration, leading to the tragic loss of life.
