A16z-Backed ZeroMark Raises $7M to Launch 'Handheld Iron Dome' for Unmounted Drone Defense
May 31, 2024, 07:01 PM
ZeroMark, a startup focused on counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) technology, has raised $7 million in seed funding. The funding round was led by KTm Boyle of Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Jordan Odinsky of Ground Up Ventures. ZeroMark aims to bring its 'Handheld Iron Dome' technology to market, providing unmounted soldiers with advanced guns that can accurately target and neutralize small drones, making defenders untouchable. The technology leverages computer vision (CV), machine learning (ML), and robotics to achieve zero-error marksmanship capabilities. The announcement was covered by TechCrunch.
