Yulia Navalnaya Vows to Run for Russian Presidency After Putin to Continue Husband's Fight
Oct 21, 2024, 02:26 AM
Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, has announced her intention to return to Russia and run for president once Vladimir Putin is no longer in power. In interviews, including with the BBC, Navalnaya expressed her determination to continue her late husband's fight against corruption, stating, 'I want to become the woman Putin fears most,' and 'I want Putin to be in a Russian prison.' Navalny, an anti-corruption activist, was poisoned and murdered by the Kremlin. Navalnaya noted that returning to Moscow is 'unfortunately impossible' while Putin remains in power.
