Dec 12, 2024, 02:52 AM
President Donald Trump's family-backed financial venture, World Liberty Financial, has made significant cryptocurrency acquisitions over the past nine hours, according to on-chain data. The company swapped $10 million in USDC stablecoins for 2,631 Ether (ETH) at an average price of $3,801, bringing its total ETH holdings to $55 million. In addition, World Liberty Financial purchased $1 million each of Chainlink (LINK) and Aave (AAVE), acquiring 41,335 LINK tokens at $24.20 and 3,357 AAVE tokens at $297.80. The moves align with World Liberty Financial's adoption of Chainlink technology, specifically integrating Chainlink’s Price Feeds for its Aave V3 protocol. Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov recently discussed the collaboration from the New York Stock Exchange, emphasizing the role of oracles in driving DeFi adoption. These strategic investments indicate World Liberty Financial's growing involvement in the decentralized finance space.
