VisitUkraine's Drone Strikes Hit Largest Oil Facility in Crimea and Depot in Luhansk
Oct 12, 2024, 04:56 AM
Ukraine's military has claimed responsibility for strikes on major oil facilities in Russian-occupied territories, including Crimea and the Luhansk region. On October 7, Ukrainian forces struck the largest oil terminal in Crimea, disrupting fuel supplies for Russia's war efforts. Subsequently, on October 12, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed a successful drone attack on an oil depot in Rovenky, Luhansk region, where storage tanks were still on fire after the strike. These attacks, which have resulted in large fires reported by locals, signify an intensification of Ukraine's efforts to target Russia's energy infrastructure in occupied areas. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the war has entered a key phase.
