The leaders agreed to take the necessary actions to facilitate the embassy's reopening. A high-ranking UAE delegation has arrived in Lebanon to make arrangements for this purpose, marking a significant move after the embassy was closed in October 2021 due to diplomatic tensions stemming from comments made by Lebanon's then-Information Minister George Kardahi about the Saudi-led coalition's involvement in Yemen.
