Tubi, Owned by Fox Corp., Surpasses 97 Million Monthly Users and Projects $1 Billion Revenue

Tubi, the free ad-supported streaming service owned by Fox Corp., has reported surpassing 97 million monthly active users and over 10 billion streaming hours in 2024. Fox Corp. acquired Tubi for $440 million in 2020 and now projects that the platform will generate $1 billion in full-year revenue, a significant increase from the $150 million at the time of acquisition. Tubi's growth is attributed to its strategy of offering a premium entertainment experience that is free, fun, and reflective of culture, according to Tubi CEO Anjali Sud. The service has seen a notable increase in viewership, particularly among younger and multicultural audiences, with 77% of its viewers not having cable subscriptions. Tubi's content includes over 275,000 movies and TV episodes, and it has expanded its offerings with over 300 Tubi originals, which are watched by nearly one in four viewers.
