Secret Service Agent Injured in Accidental Shooting in Northwest D.C. on Saturday Night

A U.S. Secret Service agent accidentally shot himself on Saturday night in a quiet neighborhood of Northwest Washington, D.C. The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. on 32nd St NW and Fessenden St NW. The agent suffered a non-life-threatening injury from a negligent discharge while handling a service weapon. He was transported to the hospital with a minor injury and is expected to survive. No other injuries were reported. The U.S. Secret Service's Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating the incident. The information was provided by Lt.
