BJP Leader Priyangu Pandey Attacked in Bhatpara, TMC Allegedly Involved, Bullets Fired

In West Bengal's Bhatpara, North 24 Parganas, BJP leader Priyangu Pandey was allegedly attacked by individuals reportedly linked to the Trinamool Congress (TMC). According to reports, Pandey's car was fired upon with six to seven rounds of bullets. The incident occurred near Anglo-Indian staff quarters, where a bomb was also reportedly hurled at his vehicle. BJP leader Arjun Singh stated that the attack was planned to kill Pandey and occurred in the presence of the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP). The driver of Pandey's car was injured in the attack. Police have recovered empty bomb shells from the scene. The incident has led to protests by BJP workers amid the ongoing Bengal Bandh.
