China Extends Tariff Exemptions on U.S. Imports Including Rare Earths, Medical Supplies
Nov 29, 2024, 04:09 AM
China has decided to extend tariff exemptions on certain U.S. imports, including rare earth metal ore, medical disinfectants, and nickel-cadmium batteries, until February 28, 2025. This move is part of China's countermeasures against the U.S. Section 301 measures. The exemptions, which were initially granted during the 2018-2019 tariff rounds, cover over 2,000 product-specific exclusions. The decision was announced by the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council, continuing a policy that was set to expire earlier.
