Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has informed hostages’ families that a deal for their release is closer than ever, with no insurmountable security obstacles. Gallant emphasized to his American counterpart, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, that IDF operations in the Gaza Strip have created conditions necessary for a hostage deal with Hamas. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken also met with Israeli National Security Advisor Hanegbi and Minister of Strategic Affairs Dermer to discuss efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and secure the release of all remaining hostages.
