Two of the three Meitei youths abducted by Kuki extremists on September 27 in Manipur have appealed to Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren Singh to save their lives. The youths were on their way to take an Army recruitment test when they were abducted. One of the three men has already been released unharmed. Manipur CM Biren Singh held a meeting with MLAs to discuss the abduction and stated that both the central and state governments are working hard to ensure the safe rescue of the two remaining youths.
