Sep 11, 2024, 07:07 PM
A $50 million Russian Su-30SM supersonic fighter jet reportedly went missing overnight after launching Kh-31P missiles towards Ukraine. The aircraft, which was involved in an attack on Odesa, disappeared over the Black Sea near Sevastopol. Russian sources, including the Fighterbomber channel and channels associated with the Russian Airspace Force, have confirmed the loss of the jet. Search operations involving Mi-8 and Ka-27 helicopters found an oil slick and debris in the area, indicating a crash. Ukrainian media and Iranian Telegram channels report that the jet was shot down by Ukrainian Defense Forces. The incident has left two crew members unaccounted for. One of the missiles reportedly flew in the direction of Romania and crashed into the Black Sea.
