In the early hours of August 18, Ukrainian drones launched a successful attack on an oil depot in Proletarsk, located in Russia's Rostov Oblast. The attack ignited several storage tanks, causing a significant fire that has resulted in a massive column of smoke visible from miles away. The incident was confirmed by Governor Vasily Golubev, who reported that air defense forces initially repelled a UAV attack, but debris from the interception fell on industrial warehouses, leading to a diesel fuel fire. Despite the initial defense, the oil depot was subsequently attacked again by Ukrainian drones.
