VisitUkrainian Drones Hit Proletarsk Oil Depot in Rostov, Causing Massive Fire
Aug 18, 2024, 03:58 AM
In the early hours of August 18, Ukrainian drones launched a successful attack on an oil depot in Proletarsk, located in Russia's Rostov Oblast. The attack ignited several storage tanks, causing a significant fire that has resulted in a massive column of smoke visible from miles away. The incident was confirmed by Governor Vasily Golubev, who reported that air defense forces initially repelled a UAV attack, but debris from the interception fell on industrial warehouses, leading to a diesel fuel fire. Despite the initial defense, the oil depot was subsequently attacked again by Ukrainian drones. No casualties have been reported, and Russian firefighting units are actively working to control the blaze.
